Hi Toon - in Bali you can buy repellents such as Autan, Off and Soffel. Soffel has a percentage of about 12-13% DEET, I think that Off is only around 5% DEET although you can get stronger ones, and the active ingredient in Autan is Icaridin.

The taxi industry in Bali is unregulated, so instead of looking for the usual cars with signs on top, you'll be looking for unmarked taxis (basically just cars). They're not hard to find! Taxis are fairly cheap and in abundance, particularly on Jl. Raya (the main street of Ubud).

Apr 29, 2018·When we landed in Bali it was very hot and humid. We got off the plane and had to get a bus to the terminal. When we got there, there were big queues to get through passport control, and then we had to wait ages for our bags. Once they finally arrived, we had to queue one more time to get through customs, before we were free.

10. Mosquito Repellent. Mosquitoes are part of tropical island life and there's not much you can do to avoid them, particularly during the wet season. You can however do your best to deter them by investing in a decent insect repellent. Sprays containing DEET are the most effective or if you prefer a more natural alternative, try citronella oil.

Hi all, Were heading back to Bali in a fortnight & understand that Dengue is a big problem this year.. My daughter is allergic to Rid & Aerogard. We therefore use Off - which is not advertised as Tropical Strength. I am concerned that this wont be effective enough but don't quite know what else to use.
